Summer Theme Program
LITERACY
Children of all ages will learn about and practice reading and writing techniques through various creative projects. Activities include:
- Storytelling
- Poetry
- Graphic Design
- Cartoon Art
- Newswriting and video production
STEM
Children will engage in age-appropriate, project-based workshops and field trips that allow them to see the practical application of STEM as well as potential career pathways for themselves. Activities include:
- Coding
- Web Design
- Graphic Design
- Chemistry
- Math Drills
Projects where they will learn about teamwork, problem-solving, and the design process.
Activities include:
- Woodshop/Printmaking
- Jewelry-making/Art walks of local murals
- Pottery
LIFE SKILLS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Children will learn about various concepts like health and wellness, nutrition, exercise, environmental conservation, stress management, financial literacy and presentation skills. Activities include:
- Community gardening
- Nature walks
- Physical fitness drills
- Public speaking and speech drills
- Financial management
- Motivational speakers
