Composting Program
Through community donations, Rose Avenue Urban Farm provides composting trainings that educate volunteers on proper composting practices and the importance of reducing organic waste. The compost produced through this program supports healthy soil and helps us grow fresh produce at the farm.
Soil & Water Study
With support from the CEED Grant from the Rutgers Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute, two of our partner organizations and DCM received funding to support research at Rose Avenue Urban Farm. The study focuses on evaluating the quality of our soil and water to promote safe food production and sustainable urban agriculture.
