DCM’s Upcoming Initiatives:

Trunk or Treat –

DCM will be partnering with councilwoman Denise Ridley to host a Halloween celebration. But this won’t be your regular dress-up party… DCM’s goal is to dress-up AND educate attendees about the culture and significance behind the holiday. Monica’s legacy, for one, starts with her grandma and family in Panama…

Attend our Halloween celebration to learn more about the generosity of Monica’s grandma, and so many other stories deeply entwined in the familial legacy of Dias de Los Muertos.

Rose Avenue Urban Farm –

Just three blocks away from Triangle Park is DCM’s new Environmental Justice Project! DCM would like to thank Councilwoman Denise Ridley for helping us secure the lease to the land. This property will now be converted into an urban farm, used year-round for not only planting, but also education.

Address: 59-61 Rose Avenue, Jersey City, NJ

Computer Technology Multimedia Courses –

Students will be exposed to basic and advanced Designing and multimedia concepts in this 10 week course which will be expanded as the school year progresses during the Winter and Spring sessions. Past participants of nationally-acclaimed organisations like Girls Who Code, a non-profit group focused on increasing the percentage of women in the Computer Technology field, will volunteer in teaching our female students in some of the courses.

Technology equipment will be provided; a media lab is available to practice skills learned in class.

Greenville Arts Crossroads Project –

Do you like art? Us too! And so do the Senior Citizens at Ocean Greens. DCM will be hosting an art pop-up show in that very building. We want to bring both the art and the crowd to them. What better way to celebrate the upcoming Holiday Season is there?

The show will “pop-up” in early December. Stay tuned for more information! DCM’s in-house artists will be featured at the show.

Haiti Humanitarian Campaign –

Our motto “Helping Families Heal so they can Thrive” does not only apply in the U.S. DCM has long been an outspoken supporter of Haitian migrants. It is undeniable that there is a Haitian migrant crisis right now, in our very city, and DCM will step in. Stay tuned for more details on how you can help the Haitian community around you.

Holiday Gift Giveaway –

In the spirit of the upcoming Holiday Season, DCM will collaborate with Melida Rodas, an instrumental partner, to host a holiday gift giveaway. Old Navy will be joining us as well. Exact details to come. Stay tuned!

Thank you all for your continued support, we hope to see you at our upcoming events!
