DCM wins a grant award from the Jersey City Arts and Culture Trust Fund!
In June 2022, DCM was awarded more than $18,000 from the Jersey City Arts and Culture Trust Fund! These funds will be used to support DCM’s Visual Arts Program as well as to support the development of our youth artistically. We hope that our youth will learn from our program not only the technical skills required for art, but also the elaborate creativity required to allow them to find passion in a new hobby.
Our Visual Arts Program includes many talented artists as instructors, such as Maria Lupianez, Susanna Martin, and Elias Ramos. Maria Lupianez is DCM’s in-house artist, and her work was displayed in DCM’s Viva Greenville exhibition recently (whose pictures you can find under the 2022 Gallery). One of the classes under DCM’s Visual Arts Program is Elias Ramos’s Comic Book Workshop, where the youth can become entranced in a world of their own creation.
